Introduction
While searching for little wooden square tiles I found lovely big untreated wood tiles in three geometric basic forms. I created out of those very quickly a tile based puzzle game in bright colours.
Things needed
- Wooden diamond tiles
- Wooden square tiles
- Wooden triangle tiles (other shapes are available too)
- Food coloring
- Homemade beeswax polish oder babysafe varnish
- Brush, small bowl and paper towel
Steps
Dye 5 or 6 wood tiles each in one food colouring colour and let it dry thoroughly on kitchen roll.
Rub the tiles with home-made beeswax polish and take off any excess with kitchen roll. In case you need the wood tiles water proof paint twice with saliva proof varnish, let it dry well.
You can prepare templates to recreate patterns and to inspire to try out new not yet created combinations.
